The average marriage lasts 7.2 years. Many succeed long-term though.

Love can be based on several elements in a relationship. It can be broken down to a chemistry attraction, leading to loving the personality with it. But, I do understand your question and that's when you need to see the difference between conditional and un-conditional love. A mother and child have an unbreakable bond in which, love does really exist. It would be crazy for someone to deny that. But in the case of loving the bf/gf/husband/wife.. it can be conditional or unconditional. This completely depends on the circumstances. Being IN LOVE and loving someone can be different also. In love is when you miss them when they go to the store. Wanting to snuggle often. Etc. (In no way am I defining love here.. just my interpertation) Loving someone.. could be caring enough to not argue about who's going to do the dishes to letting you know once a month. I believe love is real, physically and mentally. It's human nature.

Love can be a bunch of things put together. Usually it means a happy relationship, where the couples enjoy each others company alot. The only problem is that all good things come to an end, if you work at it you can light the spark again and fall in love again. The only problem is that love is a roller coaster and if your not ready for the ride and can leave your heart shattered into, well figuratively speaking a million pieces.
