I don't buy lottery tickets, period. I would rather invest the money or stick it in a savings account where it can accrue interest. Playing the lottery is basically just gambling, and as any casino owner will tell you, in the long run the house always wins. You might have a lucky streak but if you play the lotto consistently over a lifetime it's pretty much a sure bet that you will lose much more than you win. I understand that many people just do it occasionally for fun and that's fine but when I see someone in a gas station buying fifty or a hundred tickets it just makes me feel bad for them.

whenever i see the loto ticket seller. that doesnt make me a gambler though
