The appliance I gave up was the tumble dryer. I hang the washing outside on a rotary drier. I know not everyone can do this; I think I am fortunate I can hang out the wash and admire the flowers in the garden at the same time.

The microwave, certainly. The TV is the one I'd probably get rid of again. Even the LCD screens suck a lot of electricity.

Definitely the dishwasher! What a complete waste of money and electricity! Wash your own dishes, you might even lose some calories by doing so! ;oD

what a great thing to give up! I wasn't so successful - mine were the hairdryer and the microwave but we eat a lot better now!
