When I first saw this movie, I wondered if these characters were really true. The movie sure depicted it as such and did a great job making people wonder if this young couple were real people. But you have to remember these characters ARE actors and though indeed Micah Sloat is a real person, the story behind this movie is not true. It was inspired by the director's own paranormal experience and was actually filmed in his home in Southern California.
The director chose two unknown actors (the other is Katie Featherstone) and filmed this movie right in his own home with a movie camera. So although it may appear to be real, it is in fact just a movie.
