How do you explain to a child why we eat meat

If your 5 year old refuses to eat meat because it disgusts her that we kill God's animals to eat what do you tell her.

The Bible does tell us that He provides meat for us.. I'm not a Bible scholar, but I think this information can be found in Genesis or Exodus.. However, though I am not a vegetarian, I too have a problem with meat. I can relate to her disgust, and for the same reason. My best advice would be to read the Bible verses to her, give her time to 'digest' the information, and then maybe try serving foods with meat incorporated into them.. like spaghetti and other casseroles that most children like. I would avoid darker cuts of meat, though, as they do tend to have stronger taste. If the 'problem' persists, you may have a true vegetarian on your hands, which wouldn't be all that bad.. There's many other forms of protein out there these days, and her cholesterol levels would probably be lower without the meat anyway..

Meat is food,

Animals are reared for it's meat God gave it for that purpose.

If meat disgust anyone well don't eat it.

But when you are hungry meat it a good thing to eat.
