I was posting a Hub to my Facebook page about once a week since I joined Hubpages, but Facebook recently disabled my account. There regulations said that it was breaching their rules to redirect Facebook Users to another website (Hubpages), and closed my account!

Yes I do. I direct them to more information not to a sales site thought. I also use Facebook and Twitter to direct people who are interested to my articles like here on HubPages as well.

Yes, they are very good tools to direct traffice. I have a site on parenting but to get a good ranking in SE is very tough, so I use Twitter and Facebook to get traffic. They are accountable for 40% of my traffic. I have like 4000 followors and each time when I post up a blog, I tweet or update my FB and I could instantly get traffice visiting my site.

Most definitely...I use both Facebook and Twitter to promote my handcrafted jewelry online business. I set up a FB fan page and whenever I list a new item on Etsy, it goes directly to Facebook and whenever I post an entry to my blog, it posts on FB using the application Networkedblogs. I also notify fans of any promotions, events, or sales.
I love Twitter! You can see the impact to your views almost immediately. I use Twitterfeed to post a link to any new blog post and whenever I list a new item, I tweet it. I am selective about who I follow and who follows me because it's my goal on Twitter to form a cohesive online sense of community. So far it's working! I also use some of the Twitter applications and tools to enhance my experience and see what is working and what is not. I just posted a hub about it!
