Let me try to answer your question! Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to answer.

Here are my 5 Tips For Stress Free Parenting:

1.) You must be consistent with all of your kids, even if you have 6 like me or more (smile), you don't have to be equal, but you must be just in how you treat them, each kid bring there own set of problems, issues, questions, and personality traits, so you can't have favorites! (No favorites)

2.) You have to set your boundaries and do NOT allow those boundaries to be broken. Kids have a way of pulling the right strings at the wrong time, that can really push you to the brink of screaming if you let them. So that is why this one is very, very important. IF you don't get this one right, you can forget the rest of this post.

3.) There has to be consequences for breaking boundaries and hold them to it, again, be consistent with your timeouts, or punishments, especially if they are toddlers or teenagers! These two groups are the world's worst with test your limits. Whether its not giving them their favorite snack or the car for weekend; you must be consistent. Oh yeah, this will work for both groups (LOL)!!

4.) You must take TIME OUT for you, there must be time in everyday, where there is a 'no kids allowed' policy, and hold to it. For me it's the first hour when I step foot in the house door from work. They already know the rules, so that don't attempt to bombard me with 'my day at school' until about 55 minutes after I get in the door. This Works Stick to it!!

5.) Enjoy them, because they grow up so fast. Don't make your life only about them, but understand that they are a piece of your life. They are fun, enjoyable and they are after all, your babies!! They will once in the teenage years want you to teach them how to drive, and then dating, and then the 'birds/bees' topics persist. No one told me that when I was becoming a parent, that I would have to be a teacher, preacher, doctor, nurse, lawyer, judge, friend, and anything that falls in the middle such as psychiatrist!!! I hope you enjoyed my ramblings. Let me know. Thanks.
