What will happen to global corporations once cheap oil is a thing of the past?

I'm interested to know whether most people think the small local business model will prevail in an age of inaccessible oil, or whether conglomerates will have the resources to weather the storm.

Nothing is more competitive than the American Marketplace.

So the smart corporations will adapt to the new reality and either find a different and better source of energy, or pass on higher costs to you and me if they are able.

Those not able to adapt will go out of business.
