Silver Poet says
I kept one for a few days so that I could use it in a science lesson, then I let it go.
It ate most any bug I threw into the cage. It was very hairy and scary looking, and many people said things like, "Ew, yuck!" and yet at the same time were compelled to study it.
Keeping a wolf spider helped me feel a little less aversion to them, although I still am not exactly fond of them.
