No, regardless of whether or not its deemed acceptable, I've never thought I'd wear something that I do not consume. Killing an animal for its pelt is no longer an necessity. Even when it was needed for warmth, those that trapped and killed the animals, made use of the rest of the animal.
There are many artificial options available today, you have "faux fur", that looks like fur, but is man made and not harming any animals and that seems to appear as if it were fur and maybe is comparable in warmth.

No, it doesn't seem very socially acceptable to wear fur thesedays. Here in Australia I've only ever seen faux fur in our fashion stores.

No, I don't wear and, in my opinion, it's a very serious sin.
Thank you, once more, Patty for yours interesting hubs!

Why not?
I wear leather shoes, play with ivory billiard balls, love eating pork and other meats, have a dog and two cats, eat cabbage, use gelatine in jellies and wear wool.
Don't you?
