Why Does Music Sound Better The More You Hear It?

It doesn't always. You know that catchy little tune from a top 40 song which plays over and over again, you get sick of hearing it!

Music is my thing. I make music and I love doing that, however, (Check my hub on that if interested) I believe when we hear a song for the first time it is not as great as it will be after we've heard it the tenth time or more. It simple. We are programmed to like or dislike something after a series of time experiencing it. We believe in it more the more we experience. I know I liked a song much more after I heard it ten times later that month. However if you listen to the radio often you'll hear that same hot song about 10 times in one day, which to me is an over load but that's just me and my point of view. Hope this helped.

Music is based on rhythm and the more you hear a song, the easier it will be to follow, and thus enjoy, that rhythm. The subconscious memorization of lyrics will act in a similar manner to improve one's listening experience over time.
