What was it? Is it patented & do you earn royalties?

Not yet - I have many great ideas, and often voice them only to find that six months later someone or other has actually 'patented' and 'invented' the same thing.
What i really should do is patent the idea as soon as I get them, and then at least I can sue for patent infringement at a later date!
