What's a good DIY way to cut layers in your own hair at home?

The best advice I can give for layers in holding the crown hair straight up and over directing forward a bit. Cut with shears point. Slowly go around the head in small partings using the Crown as your guide also holding the hair straight up. You will give nice layers, throughout. Do not include the area of the nape when you do this, as you will get too thin of a bottom layer. Regards, Ms judy j
