Why does my American Eskimo not look like the ones I see on other websites?

I got my Eskie....who was supposed to be a TOY....but is about 2-3 pounds away from falling on the cusp between a Mini and a Standard. Firstly, My biggest concern is that he isn't fluffy like the Eskies I see like on google images, etc. Now, granted he is ONLY 7 mos old. So maybe they go through an ugly stage. Please visit my Hub let me know what you think. There is an Am. Eskie Hub out there with a nice pic of an Eskie and he does NOT look like that. http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Morning-With-MY-ADHD-American-Eskimo-Puppy-OR-Mommas-Got-a-Headache-So-Go-to-Sleep

As far as I know they get more furry as they get older, so time will tell.

With the size however, I'll guess that you probably got him from a less than reputable breeder, so he's unlikely to be completely purebred.

I don't think that's a major problem (Neither of my Labradors are 100% purebred either). Just enjoy him as he is and keep in mind that his behavior might not be typical of the breed and you'll do fine.
