Should priests be allowed to marry in the Catholic denomination?

I wholeheartedly agree itakins. The Catholic Church is losing an unprecedented number of its' 'flock' because of this outdated doctrine.

I believe catholic priests should be allowed to marry.In my view the 'rule' against marriage is based more on issues regarding property ,'financial rights of a wife' etc.There are monastic orders where a priest can chose to live a life of celibacy and poverty,if he so wishes.However,secular priests should have a choice.In the Eastern orthodox churches,a priest may marry,but by doing so he relinquishes his right to promotion i.e. bishop upwards.It works well for them!

If they are allowed to marry, there will be less child molestations from the church, so I say let them marry=)
