If Google picks up on timing, should we hold our hubs for the "correct season"?
For instance, I am writing an article about the Super Bowl which is the end of January. I am better off holding it or should I publish it now?

My advice would be to publish it. Google also likes content that has been around a while and is not just a flash in the pan. With a topic like this I would suggest adding a news capsule to your hub...this keeps the content current.
