Find out what it is about him (or about the two of you together) that motivates him to do this. Obviously, there are serious trust issues, here, but nothing is unmendable. If the relationship is worth saving, getting to the root cause of this issue is a must. If you don't know why he is so controlling, you will never be able to put a stop to it.
