Do you think kids who are “an Only child” are losing out on anything?

Are you an Only child? How do you feel about it?

Possibly. I have 1 granddaughter who is an only child and lives in my town. She would like very much to have a sister. Someone asked the other day if she had a brother or a sister and she said

"No, but I have got a POP."

That would be me .....with the big head!

Bear it in mind grands.

I'm not sure if they would be missing out on some things as they will make friends and will have more time with the parents. All I know is my 2 teenagers are always fighting, but I'm sure later in life they will grow closer, so it may not be until later in life that they may look back and wish they had a brother or sister.

Ofcourse they are! There is something to be said for the bond between siblings. You always have someone to entertain u, whether it is playing or fighting, you are not alone. And when that inevitable time comes for your parents to move on to the promise land you are not an orphan if you have siblings!

I don’t think being only child is bad. As long as they learn to share their belongings with their friends or parents
