Light and Love says
Following our heart is the very best that we can do for ourselves and for everyone around us as well. We give the best of ourselves when we are the happiest. So, doing what will make us happy and suggesting to those around us to do what makes them happy creates a higher energy and a greater love for all involved. After all, that's why we are all here, to love, learn, create and grow in a way that can not only benefit ourselves but also the world around us. Life is constantly changing, and it's human nature to strive for our personal growth as well.
That's not to say that when we follow our hearts that nothing will ever be displeasing to us. However, if our choices turn out to be less than we had hoped, all is NOT a loss, as many may believe. We have just learned something very important about ourselves through our experience; and what is wisdom but knowledge gained through our experiences. What we gain is knowledge about what doesn't feel right for us or what does. We can then make a new decision from a more knowledgable perspective. No big deal! Everything we do is a new experience and there is something to be learned from it. Our job is to be aware enough to learn from each experience. We have the tendency to become so attached to one decision that if it doesn't turn out how we hope we feel a sense of loss. Instead is should be as simple as making a new decision to replace the one that did not work for us based on what we have learned from our past decisions.
So, that said, following a plan doesn't mean our hearts can not be in it. The plan will be better and more effective if it comes from a place within us that feels right for us. It's actually an excellent way to put our thoughts into action! So, assuming what we are planning feels great to us, the plan will just simply help it happen quicker. I see following our hearts and following a plan as working together rather than on opposite ends of a spectrum. Only don't be afraid to change the plan as you go. Best wishes to you my friend!
