Does God really 'join' people in matrimony?
During a marriage ceremony those in the audience may hear 'Whom God has joined together, let no man put asunder'. To what does this sentence refer because some marriages last less than a year. If God joins them, how is it that they 'split'? One of my friends refused to give a divorce and her husband murdered her. how did that happen if God joined them?
