Go to the hub and click on edit. In the settings at the top of the hub you will see a drop down menu next to "ads". Select none and republish.

Why would you want to remove AdSense? Do you think your Hubs are so pure and wonderful that they should not be sullied by "crass commercialism"?
Why not leave them on? Make sure you have signed up for your AdSense account and have it activated on HubPages so that you will make a few bucks (or more) from time-to-time. Nothing wrong with that, is there? You're not a starry-eyed new-ager who thinks that money is evil, are you?
