My favorite book is actually a series of works, they are the
"Incarnations of Immortality" written by Piers Anthony
There are seven books in the series and they cover the 7 incarnations of mortal realm such as:
War
Fate
Nature
God
Death
etc.
If you can get past the "fantasy" setting of the realms, you can receive a very interesting twist on why things in the world may be as they are, why God doesn't stop atrocity, why fate and death ect. are so important. His writing is brilliant in this series and offered me a whole new perspective on religion and spiritualism. I have read this series 3 times and still find new hope and perspective from them each time.
