Should Women Wear Trousers in church?

I think a more important question is: "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin."

(I"ll bet most of the christians here will say, "Huh?" to my answer.)

Absolutely. Without trousers, they might catch cold and/or lead others in the congregation into temptation.

I agree with seyiari. There is no where in the Bible that states women shouldn't wear trousers. God has allowed many changes over time for certain circumstances including divorce. As times change, I believe God won't mind these little changes. After all, he can see what's in your heart. If you, or anyone else, want to wear trousers to church and there's no immoral reasons behind it; then I don't see why He would mind. I'm sure He will be glad that you just show up to worship Him.

Trousers are more modest on a windy day and allow for less intrusion from eyes that can't or won't behave politely. It isn't really a religious issue, although I have heard of some churches that try to make it one.

well , it's not in the bible that women should not wear trousers to church . what the bible says was that women should not wear what belongs to men. we have trouser pants that are for women which very different from those for men.

Do you go to church to nourish your soul and spirit, or do we go there to see who dresses the best. If everyone was doing what they needed to do to keep their life in order, they would not even have time to notice what everyone was wearing. I do not recall anywhere in the bible, a verse that read, " and the woman may not wear pants to church, "

This is a perfect example of what is wrong with organized religion today. Who is responsible for these rules, men who are so afraid of losing their control over his relationship, and therefore demands obediance.?

I think that if your heart is right with God, it dousnt matter what you wear in church. The scriptures say that Men looks on the outward appearences but God looks at the heart.

As long as they wear something that isn't revealing.

God doesn't care what you wear, as long as your not dressing in a way to cause others to sin.

Intrusion from eyes should not happen when you come to church as everyone comes to offer prayer, not watch women. I do not find anything wrong with trousers that would cause intrusion. Bible says that women should not wear what belongs to men. Women have trouser pants which are very different from those for men. God doesn't care what you wear, as long as your not dressing in a way to cause others to sin.

When judgmental men have learned to be open, honest and naked before God and man in all sincerity, honesty and truth, maybe then we can discuss the more trivial question as to whether or not women should wear pants in Church. To me, it is a far more serious thing for a person with a beam in their eye to pass judgment on someone with a splinter in their eye, than it is for a woman to wear pants in Church. I can certainly find a scripture to judge a person for just about anything they do, but I will not be so foolish. For some reason I just do not believe that God is so trivial that He concerns himself with women and their pants, I think He is more concerned about things like the murder of our babies, Pastors who serve this world and forsake the sheep and Prophets who lie. Just my opinion.

Women can wear trousers to church. The last time I checked, the bible did not say no trousers allowed... As a matter of fact, during those times, men wore robes, not trousers... God's only concern is with your heart, not your clothes.

Do you SERIOUSLY think that this is what God is thinking about?

There are TWO BILLION people in the world right now who have to live on less than two dollars a day! Do you think Jesus would be sitting around wondering about such things if he were here today?

Jesus would be doing what he seems to have done over and over again, if the Gospels are to be believed:

1) condemn people tied up in debates about miniscule details of the religion of the time

2) get his hands dirty, tend to the sick, help the poor, live among the unloved.

If you're not doing number (2), I'd be worried (read Matthew chapter 25)

What does it matter what a person wears to church...? One goes to church for their personal reasons, how they dress should not affect their personal connection or anyone eles.

What if we said men had to wear full 3pieces suit & tie when it is 90 plus degrees out & no air conditioning? did it make him any less close to his god for sweating like that?

People should come to any church with respect PERIOD.

Personally I believe where & how you pray is 100% up to your. How you dress is up to you as well, respect is the key thing & cloths are not respect. Clean & tidy {maybe} demanding anything else makes no sense

I'm sure this is something that God is concerned about. Important things like this take His mind off things like famine, war and children being molested. Everything is so trivial in comparison to something like this that requires such deep thought.Without problems like this one it must be very boring, sometimes, being God.

Ultimately the answer to this question is personal between you and God. God asks for us to worship Him in a way that will bring glory to Him. He expects our best in everything we do... In the way we dress, the things we say, and how we behave. Give Him your best, in whatever form that may be, and you will always be doing the right thing.

God doesnt care what you wear to church. As long as you came to praise and worship him its fine. There are dress pants made for men and women. Therefore, a woman should be able to wear what she wants. As long as it isnt obviously revealing.
