Good question! My mortgage costs me only 350 euros (+/- $500) per month so that's not a too big expense while I'm a single parent with a very small monthly revenue.
All in all, what I'd do is eventually doing the needed home improvements: moisture, roof, terrace, veranda and improve the garden and the vegetable garden with a professional.
But well, there are still 14 years mortgage left :-)
