DOWRY:- This is very shameful tradition of india. Initally the parents of the bride used to give some clothes, eatable and some money to their daughter as she wouldn't get any need in her intial days in IN-LAWS. But it has taken very big role in now a days in INDIA especially in AGGARWAL'S family.

Now the guy who is to be married is sold in the market. It seems that the people put their bets on the guys and who will bet more cam marry their daughter to him.

The dangerous outcome of this tradition is sex-ratio. The girls are killed prior to birth and sex-ratio is decreased very much in india. Second the girls are killed after marriage due to many reasons of dowry.

I m an indian & i feel shame to say dat dowry in india is not a myth but a reality. And many suicide case r occured for dis reason also . If dere is no suicide den the laws family gives physical/mental or both type of tortures to dere daughter-in-laws or else they born her for dere dowry or demand.

So it is not a comp. thing but it is an intrest depend on both family.

Normally dis dowry is prefixed 4m marriage if the bridal family agree with it den they proceed or else not .But dere r some other type of persons who r silent at the moment of marriage but open dere mouth after the marriage when the bridal family has no chances to step back so they r bound to fulfil dere demands otherwise dere daughter will suffer the laws will torture her & if the tortures will cross its limit den the daughter commit suicide ... dere r so many things and also cases in court for it but still dere are some people who r against of it ..So all indians are not so but it is a concept 4m which many parents many gals suffers.
