Which is better to Reduce Global Warming? Buying a Prius or going Vegetarian?

if you really believe in global warming, than the most practical solution is population reduction, or at the very least population stabilization.

Using the US as an example, the UN wants the US to reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent of the 2000 emissions by 2050. What the proponents of reduction of carbon emissions don't bother to tell us is that the population of the US is projected to increase by 46% or 140 million people.

Thus, while the population grows from 300 million to 436 million people the goal of reducing carbon emissions to 80% 2000 emissions becomes hopeless.

Of course, most of the rocket scientists who support cap and trade and other schemes conveniently forget the math of population increase and its impact on reducing carbon emissions.
