I don't know if you can pull this off, but my son would put tacks in his cousins shoes when he left them by the door and when he was asleep he would write on his face in permanent marker. It came off, eventually. His cousin got him back by telling him someone had visited and he didn't realize the kid walked off with my sons Gibson guitar. Keeping it well hidden and with a straight face and the aid of a friend and his girlfriend they had my son flipping out for about 20 minutes.
