If you get a traffic ticket and the courtesy notice says there is an "amount due for a court appearance," does that mean you have to pay to go to court and fight the ticket?

If you just send the pimp money in you don't have to show. You lose. But it's (whew!) all over!

If you send it in and then show on court date and judge says you are not guilty, you get all the money back, or the judge could reduce the fine, which is common.

He could throw out the case, in this scenario, say the cop doesn't show up, then you win.!!

I believe you should fight every ticket. It's your right and the judge won't pimp you out if he doesn't believe you. In fact he may reduce the fine.

spend a day in traffic court, it's weird, wild, and wicked watching the pimps.

Always dress for the court, Men wear a suit and tie.. Never say YEAh, but YOUR HONOR. Be nice. Judges are human.

When you get a traffic ticket they are offering you a contract which you can decline to sign. It's all commerce and revenue and nothing to do with justice.

Just write accepted for value - exempt from levy - sign it along with your sin or NI number - stating adjust the account.

Google Winston Shrout - Solutions in Commerce, or take look at a UK web page tpuc.org

Yes, you have to pay the court for taking its time to hear you case. When I went for a traffic ticket, even though the ticket was dismissed I still had to pay the court 80.00 for court costs and fees.
