Google has over 65% of the search engine marketing traffic and optimizing internationally now hoping to add foreign search engine to its acquisition. Google is better because the giant search engine is alway evolving and acquiring new and advanced technologies. It is amazing that a company that is not as old as Google manages to stay ahead of the internet searches with innovations and ahead of its competitors, Yahoo, AOL and Ask.com.

'Google’ – is the new buzzword of the millennium; not just for the techies but for the ordinary non-techies too. It provides numerous functions, but the most important one that comes to our minds is the Google Search. Has it replaced many search engines like Yahoo!, Ask Jeeves and the likes? If so why?

Simply, because of its unique algorithm of searching any keyword and providing the best relevant results to the searcher.

Wow where do I start, erm...

Well first of all statistically according to comScore.com, Google Sites led the U.S. core search market in April 2009 with 64.2 percent of the searches conducted, followed by Yahoo! Sites (20.4 percent), Microsoft Sites (8.2 percent), Ask Network (3.8 percent) and AOL LLC (3.4 percent)

With that being said you can easily tell the majority of people like Google better so let's dig deeper to find out why.

Keep in mind that people are only satisfied with the exact results their looking for. So in this case, we want to know the quality of the results delivered to the web surfer.

if for example you do a search for PS3 on all three major search engine you will find that they all give different results, only authority websites and official websites are included in all the 3 search engines.

However unlike the other search engines Google offers a wider variety of results in different categories such as the following:

*News results

*Image results

*Video results

And recently they added a new feature, you will now notice a link under the search bar "show options". It allows you to view results for forums, videos and reviews from the last 24 hours back until past year. Google really does go a long way to satisfy it's customers.

And when it comes to sponsored results Google does a great job of cleaning up bad and irrelevant results, they now make sure the advertisers are legitimate and only advertise relevant products and services etc.

They have even started to review every single website manually to ensure advertisers follow their guidelines and if they see anything wrong they prevent the ads from running until the problem is corrected and in worse case scenario they ban the advertiser from Google AdWords.

Unlike other search engines who aren't as strict as Google they see advertisers as a profitable opportunity so sometimes you may see advertisers getting away with irrelevant or bad products and services.

Google values it's customers more so they rather give them better results than just profit from advertisers and including the search results, they enforce strong search engine quality guidelines to encourage web master to create quality content for web surfers.

Bottom line is Google has the highest quality results out of all search engine which makes it the best, well that's my opinion anyway.

Why Google Dominates Search Engine Land
