Tips for potty training a 3 year old. Especially one who consistently goes #1, but it's hit or miss with #2 (mostly miss).

When they hit, make sure to clap your hands, and say, Good job!

and when they miss, clean up the other and put it in the potty,

and explain that this is where it goes. Set them down on the toilet or potty chair, even it they don't have to go. So they can practice.

Your child will do great.

What worked well for my grandson, now 3 1/2, was the DVD called "Potty Power". I found it on Ebay and it's on Amazon too. He really liked it and still likes watching it today. He also continues to tell me he has "potty power" when he tee-tees in the potty.
