The absolute best thing he could possibly do to is to stay the heck out of economic affairs and let the free market correct itself. That, I believe is the best answer. However, they're in too deep now and something will have to be done. I'm not sure that fixing the economy is their ultimate goal, if it was, they wouldn't be going out of their way to destroy it.

The first thing the President should do is lower tax rates for businesses so that they are able to hire more employees.
The next thing that should be done is that the middle class tax payer should get their taxes lowered.
Also, the simulus money should have been individally given to those struggling with home mortgages in the form of payment vouchers instead of giving the money to the Mortgage Companies.
