I think every new child to the world deserves to have their Mom at home rather than a nanny. I also feel that every new mother should have that luxury. I might upset some readers with my next statement but I feel that if you're going to have a child you ought to give it the love, care and bonding that it needs. If a mother must work, it should be part-time and during the hours that a newborn would be sleeping anyway. As the child gets older I am supportive of daycare but a newborn and a mother needs that bonding. I've heard too many career women complain that their babies know the nanny better than them...well...what do you expect?
