Aren't bans on any firearms infringing on Constitutional rights?

The short answer is yes, they are. Of course, we have politicians and advocates of various stripes who state repeatedly that the Constitution is outdated, or just a piece of paper, or in need of further amendment. Which means that even if every individual in the country accepted my "yes, they are" answer, the efforts toward gun control would not be impeded in the slightest.
One of my Hubs will explore this topic in detail in the near future.
