Besides the obvious.. it is important to ask what is the long term maintenance that your surgery will take. Like follow ups, how many follow ups per year, does the surgery need to be repeated? How will your diet change, how do people deal with the mental aspect of the forced life style change, what permanent changes will you have to make (i.e. Diet restrictions, excersize) Is it reversible, and always what the risks of surgery are?
