I used Vissual Meditation and was taught by my Mentor to locate a quiet, comfotable spot where I could close my eyes and invission numbers 1-7 with coensiding colors of the rainbow. With each number and color.. counting backwards, slowly while invissioning an object such as water for the color blue and then green might be grass...seeing it so clearly in my mind before moving on to the next color, number, and object. I would practice daily until it became second habbit and so easy to do at will. Now when I am in need to relax , I do it at will and become totally relaxed. It took about a month to be really good at it and I would practice everday. I have been doing it for at least 10 years now.

Hey Mama! I'm not much of a meditator unless I'm praying. But one of the best comedy routines I've heard about meditating was the head that got high and was meditating, and he saw God, and God told him to stop meditating. Peace.

I practice Vipassana meditation as taught by Goenka, and I learned it in a meditation retreat two years ago. After some months I started practicing daily.

It completely changed my life, I stopped drinking alcohol and also got a great tool to deal with daily life in a more balanced way.

Practicing also improved my relationships, starting with how I deal with myself.

The most successful experience is seeing how it improves my daily life progressively.
