LifeStyles -- Stars That Came Out Clean with Their Sexual Orientation.

Source

We are not condonning or preaching against personal choices in everybody's lives. This can be a hard topic to write about, and can cause polarized opinions. Just this last Monday Anderson Cooper just published and made clear to every one about his sexual orientation, we applaud his courage and determination.

Just 20 years ago, these kind of statements would've caused a disaster for anyone's career. Just remember Rod Hudson who denied everything to his very end. Our favorite character Dr. Kildare was brave enough to come out a few years ago. "I wanted to keep my family safe and I couldn't do it before," said Richard Chamberlain on 'Larry King Live.'

We don't think people should judge others solely by their sexuality. We are living a high tech interconnected world, and there is less space for passive or active hatred, or even loathing.

We decided to make a list, not a full list for limitations certainly... a list of those human beings like any of us, who chose to challenge stereotypes and sexual bias from a heterosexual world that could become unfair to them at any minute... of a given life.

George Alan O'Dowd popularly known as Boy George was always open about his sexuality. We remember him since ages, like from that song "Karma Chameleon" (1985) "Do you really want to hurt me..?", to the "Crying game" soundtrack (1992). Hard to believe that he was actually cleaning the streets of NYC due to a Court order.

Rumor has it... that he had a solid friendship with Queen's vocalist, Freddie Mercury. George reached to the top of his fame in the mid 80's with his Culture Club group. "I know you missed me!"

Wow I had no idea that Ricky Martin admitted he way gay. I remember when he was suspected to be so in the nineties and he went back to Puerto Rico when his career was under the spotlight. "Coming out" wasn't a very popular thing as many people's careers suffered after admitting their sexual orientation.

Yes Cardisa, That was in 2006, when he gave up on dating his Mexican Gf of 14 yrs. They were about to commit but, he backed off. In 2008 he decided to have his twins through a 'surrogate mom.' And he is happier than ever. What lots of people don't know is that Ricky does lots of charity without the media circus. Thanks Carolee for thaking the plunge on this delicate subject.

KJforce, You have said so much with extraordinary words. You know better, and yeah is 2012 and still, we haven't put puritanism aside. Shame on people that segregate a brothet that could save a life of theirs.

@Always Exploring, Love is everywhere. We just thought of so many people that chose to live with no secrets at all. We are more tolerant than 30 years ago. Thanks!

@ Epi, Sanel knows got she got. We appreciate her wit and beauty. We love to see you happy and that is shared with your friends. Karma at its deepest.

@ Victoria, we all should respect sexual orientations and learn to live in peace. Our economy cannot afford bias or sexual segregation. Like Epi and the others, we breath, love and live with the same goals in life. Thanks Vicky!

@Raciniwa, no more sighing? Lol! Thanks for commenting on a delicate issue, and most of us do not condon our friends from any background. You know better, and is a worldwide stigma. Thanks Raci! You are such a charm.... sigh...

...and I wouldn't be half the writer I am - without Sannel - she is not only my muse - but she has inpsired me as well - I look up to her and she is my hero and a tremendous human being. Half of my heart is beating - she occupies the other side. Her words to me are the stuff of legends - not just in love but from someone who knows how to communicate the written word - and don't forget - English is NOT her orginal language ......

Thanks Epi. I will be checking that steamy Sannel's world. You always recommend good stuff. We know that for sure. Thnaks Epi.

@PoojasD7,

Jim Parson deserves admiration and respect. So many movie script writers and even directors have a sexual orientation that go with their creativity. Much appreciated for your stopping by.
