A Renewal of Walt and Joni's Love and Wedding Vows

The eminent love and marriage of Walter and Joni Dixon, was celebrated in an elegant anniversary gathering at #Lia's Catering Ballrooms at Boothwyn. After more than fourteen years of marriage, Walt, did not see the necessity to wait until a special anniversary year such as a silver celebration at twenty five years of marriage or a golden anniversary at fifty. Joni, smiled as she explained, "Walt, planned everything as a surprise for me. I just had to get my dress and shoes. Walt and Laura, did everything." Joni, was excited that her loving husband took the initiative to create such an idea for his wife that "is the love of my life," said Walt. His sister Laura, is an event planner of her popular business #Har2HeartPlanning.

Guests arrived at the Ballroom on this crisp, clear starlit night. Upon their entrance, photographer Tim Vanbeaverhoudt, took photos of these supportive family members and guests. When we entered the ballroom, the lights were dimmed just enough to captivate a certain aura that welcomed their guests. Laura, had presented an ambiance that was elegant and ethereal. Beautiful displays of flowers were featured throughout the room as well as candlelit displays. After everyone settled into their seats, Walt and Joni entered. He wore a dark blue, distinguished, tuxedo which matched her illustrious one shoulder, blue gown. Joni, lovingly stared at Walt and explained, "We have celebrated good times and bad times. You chased me for the longest. I just wanted to say, I love you and what God put together, let no one pull us apart."

Walt, remained silent with an enormity of #love in his eyes, as Joni spoke. He went on to express, "That story was completely true. There is a lot I have to say to her. My son saw me trying to practice vows today. I decided, I'd better put some on paper. Years ago, I asked for your hand in marriage. Seconds, minutes, hours and days have passed, I owe you for my existence. There was no real me without you." Walt, then asked Joni, to marry him again. They kissed and renewed their vow of love for each other for the rest of their lives as Mr. and Mrs. Walt and Joni Dixon. They had once again proven their appreciation for the Originator of marriage, #Jehovah God; who established a relationship for man and woman to exist in love as husband and wife. After their renewal of love for each other during their anniversary celebration, it was time to bless the food and give thanks to our #Heavenly Father, for the essence of marriage and its creation.

A Delicious Feast Was Provided During Their Celebration

Dinner consisted of savory, thinly cut prime rib, sautéed chicken breast with succulent red potatoes with a melody of mixed vegetables. After dessert was served which included a variety of delectable chocolate and vanilla cakes, it was time for dancing. James Chandler, served as DJ for the evening. Line dances as well as slow music drew guests to the dance floor. Walt and Joni, started their own special dance for the evening as other couples joined them. Line dances and numerous other songs were featured which allowed everyone to join in.

During a brief interview with Walt and Joni, they expressed how, when they first met it was not love at first sight. Joni said, "He saw me first but I did not like him. For the longest we were friends. I was hesitant because I am five feet, two inches and Walt was six feet, six inches tall. Both of us had 'big buts,' which is something we had in common. In 1997, my mom passed away and a year later, we got together." They were married in 2001, now for a total of fourteen years and have three children Walt, Jr., Tyeesa and Tyree also known as Kenneth, which is Walt's middle name. Walt and Joni, had thoroughly enjoyed this jovial celebration of their love and marriage.

Walt and Joni thanked their Guests and Participants

Walt, lovingly posted this message on his #Facebook page for his sister Laura's, organization of this special event. "I am taking the time to thank Laura Hartshorn, the premier party planner and coordinator, for her untiring and careful planning and production of my unforgettable event Saturday, I've received nothing less than thirty calls from guests about their experience and the ambiance she and her staff created. Countless social media mentions and shout outs have been generated since Saturday. I met with her months ago and gave her my idea. As simple as that, I returned to my regular everyday life not concerned with the details. Months later she turned my idea into my dream! I recommend Har2heart planning for anyone who is concerned with having a ultra memorable event! Remarkable! Simply remarkable! Thank you Mrs. Hartshorn, you are truly at the top of your game." Ocie Williams, cousin of Walt also agreed about this special occasion, "It was a beautiful event. I recommend her also if you want it done right call Har2Heart. Walter Dixon, also thanked Timothy Vanbeaverhoudt, of TVB Photography, "For his photography coverage of our event. Man you were everywhere!" Before the departure of their family and friends, Walt and Joni, went on the thank everyone for their participation, love and support of this special event.

The inevitability of such a classic, whimsical, celebration of love and marriage did come to an end. Although it was quite evident that Walt and Joni's, love will continue eternally as long as they are alive. This couple, reignited their love and marriage before numerous guests as a reminder that they are in it, for the long hall. May Jehovah God bless their union as well as their family and friends.
