"A Wrangler's Heart".....Part I

Updated on January 13, 2012

The heat from the western sun was bearing down on Cody as he rode the perimeter of the enormous ranch, mending the fences, tightening the barbed wire, and filling holes dug by the foxes, and prairie dogs. A broken leg on a cow meant certain death, but worse...his horse's leg would be the end of him. He had enough supplies for a weeks ride, and his camp was where ever he stopped for the night. He had a bed roll, and enough rations of beans and rice to keep his energy flowing. Cody shot rabbits in the evening to keep his belly full, and his horse, Dakota fed off of the prairie hay. They would stop at creek crossings to replenish their thirst, but Cody filled his canteens for the trail. His Stetson shaded his brawn face from the burning rays of the sun, and the many years of being a ranch hand showed in his strong muscles and his square chin. His shirt was stained with salt marks, as his sweat would dry in the cool air each night after the sun disappeared behind the Teton range out of Jackson Wyoming. The campfire put a sense of warmth in his heart, something he wanted, but missed dearly for what was now many years. He had a woman in his life years before, but something had gone wrong, and she had fallen out of his life.......

Her name was Sue....a cute little fillie he had met one day while bidding for a horse at a state horse auction. She had this feisty way about her that got all the cowboy's "attention", but she wasn't looking as they say. She carried herself with confidence and a demeanor to match it. It seems she and Cody were bidding on the same horse (Dakota), and it soon became a bidding war between the two of them. But, as you can already tell, Cody had the bigger wallet. As the gavel hit the bidding block, Sue gave Cody that look that only a woman could give to a man. You know the type....that, You jerk" look.....the one we ALL have seen before. Cody tipped his hat to her and went about the business of paying and loading Dakota onto the trailer. As he closed and locked the door, a woman's voice came from behind...."Well, thanks for taking the "Only" reason for me coming to this auction tonight mister!".....said Sue. Cody turned around, "Um....I'm sorry little lady, but I've known about this horse for a while now, since he was owned by a good buddy of mine three years ago, and I had made the decision that I would own him one day, no matter the cost." Sue rolled her eyes and quickly spun off leaving Cody standing in the dust. Fanning the thick dust with his hat, he turned and quickly jumped in his truck....He would have the last word!!

Cody had lost sight of her truck as he was trying to get out of the auction's tangled parking lot. He thought, well...now I'll never catch her! He headed North for the four hour journey back to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He stopped midway and spent some time walking Dakota, letting him feed and stretch his legs. "Kota", as Cody called him was a beautiful Paint horse, with a body built for the long days of riding the range. Within just a few hours, they were a team, and they both knew it. Now, if Cody could only get Sue out of his head, he could get on with the work at hand. Cody finished walking Kota, then loaded him for the remainder of the trip. He needed a drink, so he went inside the mom and pop store for a coke. As he pays, he looks outside to see a "little lady" looking at Dakota.....It's Sue!! "Ok lady, I have a bone to pick with you! Look, I'm sorry my bid was more than you can handle, but that's horse buying lady, and it's not MY fault your bank account wasn't big enough." Sue's searing look would catch his clothes on fire any second now. "How dare you talk to me like that you son of a!" Cody quickly moves in and grabs her, pulls her close and kisses her deeply....to shut her up. The heat of the night just got a little hotter......The spark that ignites between the two of them lights up the night as the fireworks continue.....Sue steps back, and takes a deep sigh....'What are you doing?".....she asks. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself lady, you brought it out of me." Her legs went weak, her heart was pounding as never before, and she succumbed to her desires......her desires of being ravished by a good looking cowboy!

"Wow, I don't know what came over me miss! I'm sorry....but you....you're just feisty and gorgeous, and I just reacted on my feelings. Again, I'm sorry....I'll be leaving now." Sue's baffled....."Wait, you just kissed me like that and you're going to drive off now?! You're kidding right?! The only place you're going is with me cowboy!!".....She tells Cody to follow her and jumps in her truck....her home is minutes away. Cody follows her like a lost puppy....anxious and hungry for more.

They pull into her driveway.....Her home is a quaint little cabin set back into the woods, away from the highway, and obscure from the nosy neighbors. Her closest neighbors are miles down the road, but she likes her privacy. Cody steps inside her place and instantly notices a difference.....This night will be interesting to say the least.....Sue closes and locks the door behind her, with a devilish look in her eyes............

"Not the Angel He Imagined...."

......In an instant Cody's world is turned upside down. Sue switches from nice and feisty cowgirl to "control freak"....She pulls Cody into the bedroom, throws him on the bed and tells him, "Don't you move Cowboy, you're in MY house now, and I'm in charge!" Cody starts to get up, but she screams at him, "Stay on the bed damn you!" Cody is in shock now, and doesn't know what to think of it. "Are you serious woman, you're freakin' me out! Sue pulls a pistol from the dresser drawer, and points it at him....."I said, STAY ON THE BED!! I'm not playing around anymore cowboy!" She takes some rope and makes him tie his feet together, then, with him on his face, she ties his hands together behind his back. She strips his shirt off and runs the pistol over his chest and biceps......."Looking good cowboy, looking good." Cody is at her mercy now, but he's waiting for the right moment to make his move........

He thinks....Maybe a little reverse psychology will work on her........Sue steps into the bathroom to make herself more comfortable. Cody waits for her to reappear shortly there after....."Wow!, you are a.....beautiful lady. Why don't you come over here and show me that feisty side again." Sue smiles her evil smile, and saunters over to the bedside and sits next to him. "Yea, you liked that did you?" She admires his muscles and dreams of what she wants to do with him......and soon. Cody puts on the charm, "Please, darlin'...if you untie me, I'll show you exactly what I can really do with these hands." "I bet you would cowboy, but I can't do that, you're just trying to play me.", she says sarcastically....."No, really, I'll stay here with you and prove to you that I really want you.....you don't need the gun, I promise baby!" The chemistry becomes apparent between them, and Sue finally gives in to Cody's desires. "OK, I'll untie your hands, but if you try anything, anything at all....I'll have to use this pistol on you!" Cody agrees to her reasoning's, and she unties his hands, but leaves his feet tied for security reasons. She places the gun on the table next to the bed, then lies down in the crook of his arm.....She starts to kiss him gently on his chest, and face.....he returns the kisses, until they are in a tangled mass of lust. Cody takes her and relieves all of her tensions.....in a way only a man could do. Her breath quickens and her thighs weaken as he does his magic, and she reaches the point of "no return", and quickly releases her inner self. Sue turns the tables on him and repays him in her own "special way", and his power is no match for her sensual side. Her body is what all men dream of and she knows how to use it. He releases his tension as she takes control......again.

The night slips away and they awake to a new day.....During the night, she had untied his feet and Cody is surprised to see the gun "missing". She had put it back in the drawer as well during the night. "Good morning cowboy", she says as he awakes in a drunken state of mind.....Was last night a bad dream? Was this not the lady that had put a gun to his head just hours ago? Something wasn't right with this lady, and he was going to get to the bottom of it, even if it killed him. Sue stepped into the bathroom to freshen up, and Cody quickly dresses, and finds the pistol and rope in the drawer. He takes the pistol and slides it into his belt, under his shirt. He gathers his things, and moves into the living room.....'Where are you cowboy?".....she asks. "I'm in here sweetness, just waiting for you." Sue comes out of the bathroom, and enters the living room. Pointing the gun at her he screams, "Get your hands up now lady! I've called the cops, and they're on the way. I told them everything!" Sue sits down slowly on the couch, and gives an evil grin to Cody as the cops pull up in front of the house. They announce themselves and Cody gives the OK to come in.....He hands over the pistol to the Sargent as they place handcuffs on Sue. She winks at Cody as they haul her off to the county jail. He is in disbelief at the circumstances that just happened in the last 24 hours.....He tells the story at the trial, as the jurors sit in disbelief. It doesn't take them long to come back with a verdict......"We the jury, after hearing the evidence find the defendant....INSANE.....We think she should be institutionalized as soon as possible for the criminal Insane." The judge agrees, and the case is closed. Sue is taken to a Wyoming Mental Institution. Such a beautiful lady........beautiful but insane!

Cody is back on the ranch now, Dakota by his side....mending the fences and living his "Cowboy" life. He often reminisces of the time he spent with the wicked Sue five years earlier, and how lucky he was she didn't kill him....."I may be sick, but I really miss her Kota".....he whispers as the firelight fades out. He wonders if a visit to see her would be weird....

Sue sits in a padded room now......hair frazzled, fingernails filed down with sunken eyes and her once pretty face showing signs of depression and despair. She too recalls the night of passion long ago with a cowboy named Cody. As she thinks of that hot, passionate night, all she can do is.........smile............Oh, that evil smile!
