Chirk Castle, Wrexham

Chirk Castle was built in 1310 and is situated on a hill surrounded by 500 acres of historic parkland. The interior is rich in 16th, 17th and 18th century design, and features intricate plasterwork, tapestries and portraits.

Within the award winning gardens are rare plants, colourful borders, a lime tree avenue and a thatched Hawk House which used to house the castle's birds of prey. The Hawk House is now a pretty summerhouse. There is also a 15th century chapel in the gardens. Views from the castle span nine counties.

Craflwyn Hall, Gwynedd

Craflwyn Hall was built during the 19th century and is surrounded by 200 acres of parkland in the heart of Snowdonia.

This is a very flexible and private wedding venue, as the Hall and grounds can be hired exclusively and used for overnight accommodation for up to 26 people.

  • Ceremonies and receptions may take place year round except for Sundays and Christmas day.

Newton House lies in the heart of the Dinefwr estate. Built in the mid 17th century, it is surrounded by 800 acres of 18th century landscapes. The interior of the house is decorated in Edwardian style and the Dining Room, (used for ceremonies) is spacious and grand.

The grounds are home to over 100 fallow deer and a fountain garden.

Redesigned in the 18th century, this mansion house is a mix of Classical and Gothic. Plas Newydd is the ancestral home of Lord Anglesey and is located on the bank of the Menai Straight.

In picturesque surroundings, the estate is home to spring gardens, summer terraces and an Australasian abrboretum.

  • Wedding Ceremonies may take place on Fridays, April - November. During November - April when the estate is closed to the public, other days may be available subject to house conservation.

Castle Ward is a mid Georgian mansion curiosly built internally and externally in two different styles; Classical and Gothic. The mansion is set in 820 acres of woodland, parkland and gardens, and overlooks the beautiful Strangford Lough.

Mount Stewart is a neo classical mansion which houses world famous artefacts and paintings. Built in the 18th century, the house is surrounded by 98 acres of 1920s landscaped gardens. Within the gardens is the enchanting Temple Of The Winds, a previous banqueting hall and family retreat away from the house. The gardens are home to many rare varieties of plant and has views over Strangford Lough.
