Bleeding Red, the Roses

one rose
one rose

A Haiku Poem in Dedication

Bleeding red... the blooms,

roses for fallen,.. no dooms.

prayers, in church rooms.

Red rose petals..blooms,

as everyone there assumes.

not just brides, but grooms.

Those wars seem to loom,

as for each to meet their doom.

one rose by each tomb.

All in Spring to bloom,

every mother's child from womb.

sweeping away gloom.

I'm always impressed when so much is gleaned from so few words. Well done my friend.

Thank you Bill. Sometimes we see the need to say a thing, yet only requiring the true essence. whonu

My meaning is using the roses was to show that there is hope and each petal as a prayer for the fallen ones.

"Be careful with the thorns they could prick you deep,

May send message of confusions and of mixed sensations

A gesture of kindness, a feeling of likeness and of LOVE" --that is simply the nature of a rose.

Simplicity is beauty and you have it here in this piece.

Voted up++, pinning and sharing.

It is oxymoronic how roses can highlight both positivity and negativity! This is a new change to your usual style, Who, and very well done too!

You really told a whole lifetime story in just a few words. Simply beautiful and using the rose just made it that much easier to relate as we look at the beautiful pictures you chose.

Voted up, awesome, and beautiful.

Thank you midget. I wanted to express that roses signify life and death;that we may give up our lives, and yet new birth comes to sweep a way the gloom. The new life also comes, heralded by the roses presence. whonu

I remember once my mum and I cultivated a rose called Ingrid Bergman so named after the famous actresss and what a beautiful velvet red it was.

Thank you for the obvious poetic labor of love by you and you are a gift to nature too because you adore 'her' and respect her beauty.

Sending warm wishes from Colin and his natural wonders Little Miss Tiffy and Mister Gabriel at lake erie time 2:05pm
