Picking a bra for male bra enthusiast can be a challenging task for a first time male bra buyer. This guide is intended to get you started on the path to purchasing a bra for a loved one. It might also be useful for the man who is off to purchase his first brassiere but isn't sure where to start. After all, the lingerie department is a wonderland of pretty fabric and wondrous styles, but it is easy to get lost in.

Please note, this article is designed to assist those who would like to buy womens lingerie for men. It does not deal with specially designed man bras made for men, which are a whole other ball of proverbial wax.

Step One

Ask him what size he is. Alternatively, snoop around until you can discover what size he is and make sure you have those measurements in your hot little hand when you go shopping. If he's never worn a bra before, follow the tips in this guide to fitting a male bra to get an idea in your mind.

Step Two

Be prepared to exchange the bra or sell it on Ebay. There's a good chance that the bra you buy him won't fit, or won't be the best fit for him. Yes, even though you bothered to get his size before buying anything. The reason for this phenomenon is the fact that different manufacturers tend to have their own special interpretations of the various bra sizes. If in doubt, go for a bigger band size and a smaller cup. Except in the case of gynomastia, most men will have relatively little flesh to fill the cup.

Step Three

The bare bones of the deal. The bare bones of the deal involve finding out what style of bra would best suit him this guide to bra styles should help you in your quest. Beware of under wire brassieres that may dig in and cause him discomfort. They cause women enough trouble on their own, let alone men whose bodies were not designed with brassieres in mind (or rather, brassieres were not designed with their bodies in mind.)

Step Four

Have fun! Look for pretty, sexy, sweet styles your man will love. Remember, men don't wear bras because they have to, they wear them because they look pretty (and hopefully feel comfortable too). Plain bras are not the sort of bras a man who loves lingerie wants. There are a wide range of styles and looks to suit every man and mood, so don't be afraid to play around and buy something different. Wearing a bra is all about breaking the mold and taking a risk.

Although I'd prefer a gorgeous bra to a plain one, I'd be quite happy to have my wife buy one for me. She accepts it but she would never buy one for me.

If I had a girlfriend or wife, I would think it is very sweet to get a bra from her.

I love bras. My man boobs feel good and i feel comfy.

It's a shame my wife is a bit too pudish to allow me to wear one regually. ( i stealth one when she is away )

Hope, you should be running courses to women at an early age so they feel comfortable around the Lingerie man and not just freak out as they are programmed to do.

Hope,

I recently bought my first bra. Summond the courage, picked it up, and proceeded to the check out with some matching panties. No problem. That was easy compared with the afteremath. Once the forbidden fruit is in hand, it is radioactive, how do you deal with it? What does one do?

Topside lingerie realy ups the ante in an enormous way. It is plausable to say "I find women's panties more comfortable than men's", particularly if she knows that you have always preferred brief cuts and the "edge" limits of male brands. Everybody has to wear something below the waist, but a bra can only be considered "over the top" and will require an unusually accepting mate.

I presently consider my hidden bra to be a "black" operation, off budget and top secret. If revealed, this knowledge will imperil the future of all life on earth as we know it.

Hope, Hicutguy hit the nail on the head. Many women will accept a guy wearing panties, stockings, gowns or, even a girdle (after all, we all get a bit out of shape once in a while) but, a Bra is a totally different idea for them. First: why does he need to? Second: why would he want to? Third: how can that possibly feel good to him? They should understand: it DOES feel good - even if it also feels uncomfortable. Some of us guys, knowing we can't have it all, want/need as much of the feminine feeling as we can get. Normally, I hate winter, but, it is about the only time I can wear a bra (AA here and I DO like underwire) and not have its lines noticed through a shirt. Bulky sweaters, coats, etc. cover a multitude of sins and, sadly, to too may folks of either sex, seeing bra lines on a man is a deadly sin. A guy wearing a bra does NOT like a pat on the back - except from the lady who bought it for him!

I've found that a bra fits better and is much more comfortable if I cut out the underwire. This may seem like a cruel thing to do to a brand new fancy bra, but it has its advantages. The bra and cups will fit flatter against a guy's chest and the band will stretch easier around the torso. I wear a 38-A or -B. An A-cup with the underwire removed sits nearly flat, and I can wear a slightly padded demi cup underneath a shirt without it being too noticeable. Besides, what is an underwire to support on a guy?! Take it out!

Hope,

You do post some great articles regards men wearing lingerie, Thanks.

I've found going to the store and asking a clerk where I could try one on is amazingly successful. Only once in dozens of time have I been asked to go to the men's department to see how the bra fit. Size 38A tends to be my size although you never know brand to brand. Wacoal is the best fit and I like their quality.

As a wearer of lingerie, I've found people will gauge their response to our lingerie outings to be tempered by your outward signs of comfort. If you show an attitude of "what's the big deal?" the acceptance level goes up immensely.

Keep the post going, you are doing a great job!

The bra is my favourite item of women's underwear, above the panties, because it's just so feminine. I've often bought my own.

Do people prefer to wear them "au naturel" or with some kind of padding in the cups? If so, what do they prefer to put in them?

I just bought my first Victorias Secret Bra today! It was very exciting. Several women were in the store, and no one gave me a second look. I got a bra for $14.50 with a $10 off coupon, plus a free thong. Everyone was very professional. I just wish I had the courage to ask to try it on.

I love the feeling of wearing a bra.

After trying different sizes, I have found that a 38b fits me snug and I always go for a feminine lacy satin style.

I would love to wear one to work as I also find that it helps my posture, however, not a good idea when I have to wear a white t-shirt!

My wife is ok about me wearing a bra and panties sometimes and has even bought me several sets, one with a suspender belt and stockings.

Hi i love to wear a bra and wear a large 42aa but find this size very difficult to get. I wear it every time i get a chance but have problems after washing it getting it dry without anyone else seeing it. Other than that i couldn't care i only wish that i had the bottle to let them all see it and get their approval then i could have a go at finding lots mere of my size. Then i would go for some different colour's.

Hi, I am a guy that loves womens/girls bras and panties. I am wearing a bra right now that I got from a Wal-Mart store.

I love it. The brand I am wearing as I am sending this message is "Sweet Nothings". I wear size 36-A. I found this bra in the girls department rather then the womens dept. I bought two of them. I love them. I have also bought some "Hanes" bras in the past six months in the regular womens dept. I also like them too. Are there any other guys that like bras and even girls that like men wearing the bras and girls underwear? I like to know since I wear womens/girls underwear and bras all the time. I like to

hear from some of you.

Hi i am a man and love wearing a bra i wear it every day and change into another one to sleep in.I have been wearing one daily for nearly a year now.I can not understand it when women say they are uncomfortable to wear i have to say that since i have been wearing one i found it the most comfortable garment i have ever worn far better and comfortable than a girdle or slip which i also wear. I would not stop wearing a bra ever and will be buying more in order to have spares. I must say that it is the best thing that has happened to me ever buying my first bra.

timwilliams, hi. You are not alone. I started wearing a bra and panties almost 2 years ago. And I love the feeling. After some time it is not a problem anymore. And my wife approves too. Although some people may find it weird. I donĀ“t care. During summer I wear a socalled T-shirt bra. And even if I get some stares once in a while, I enjoy it to wear a bra.

Jasmine 6 years ago

I am wearing a 36A with an extender most of my bras are 38B I like to wear them often but my wife has a hard time with it, I would wear just a bra and panties outside if I thought I could get away with it.
