Our Divine Purpose

There is a purpose for everything under the sun~including you

The perfect union~The way, the truth, and the life. There is no other road to complete peace.

A Greater Purpose

Does one ever wonder why we run into certain people at certain times in our life or find ourselves in situation's that cause us to react a certain way or something that causes us to wonder or question? Has one ever considered there may be a bigger picture? That there may be a greater purpose? A divine purpose to it all. Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven".

To grow there has to be a trial, an action or inaction, an experience, a conflict, a disturbance, a confusion, a question or wonder. Usually it will not be a comfortable one for one must be in discomfort to seek comfort. I believe God has a way of speaking to us, teaching us and awakening us to the things we need to grow to be in His likeness. I believe this is why we run into circumstances. We may not understand why God would do what He does and even question Him. Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding".

I believe God uses the ones who are closest to us to reach down and capture our hearts in order to open them up to greater things like forgiveness and love. I believe He causes us to stir and war inside ourselves until we see the light. If we don't correct our ways we will run into the same circumstance's/situations again and again until we do, until we attain that perfect balance that is within us. It may even seem like a merry-go-round or a rotating door at times, but it will repeat itself until the truth is fully known. God is testing and teaching us all.

God knows we have the ability for He created us in His image. He knows all and sees all and corrects all. When we need teaching, He teaches. If we fail the test, that particular test again will repeat itself till the truth be fully known. Schools in the world usually only give you two chances to pass a test, but God gives us countless opportunities, therefore God must have incredible patience! We are to be an example of God's love. If this verse doesn't show the miraculous patience God has and wants us to obtain then we are surly missing something. Luke 17:4 "If your brother sins against you seven times a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent', you shall forgive him." This is incredible patience my friend!

There are many trials we will encounter in this life and we may even see them as being pretty ridiculous, and even overwelming at times, but maybe we need to take a closer look and do some evaluating and ask ourselves humbly if God is trying to tell us something. Could it be that we have reacted indifferently as to how God would have us be?. Could this be or has this been a stumbling block in our life? Is God trying to open our eyes and help us see the error of our ways? Maybe we should be seeking a new perspective.

Our stubborness, anger, resentment, hostility, revenge, hate and impatience toward our brother will cause us to stumble, stumble in the sence that we have tripped over the truth that God would have us see, the truth that God would have us know and understand and put into motion. His truth, not ours. God does not want us to live in division, but in unity.

We have lived with our truths which are corruptive and have fallen short of the glory of God. Our truths are not God's truth, our ways are not God's way and our life is important to Him and He wants it to be equally important to us. Peace will not come to us, we must come to peace. Submit to the will of God. We must also come to love as God loves. Put off our old nature and become new. A transformed heart and mind, 2 Corinthians 3: 18 "But we all. with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the spirit of the Lord.

God wants us to be full of knowledge so we have the fullness of God. In Ephesians 3:19 " to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God" and Chapter 4:2 "with all lowliness and gentleness. with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love" and verse 13 "till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ".

We may never come to know the fullness of Christ because we are born of the flesh, but God is at work every second of everyday, teaching each and everyone of us the wisdom we need to overcome it, completing His divine purpose for us all, for He loves us that much! Isaiah 42:16 "I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them. Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.". This is God's promise.

Thank you Michael, it's so amazing to know that someone has our best interest at heart. There is no greater love than the love He has for us.

This is the second hub I've read today that mentions a repeat of a failed test. Maybe God is trying to get my attention.

Thank you lifegate. I do believe if we hear something more than once it's well worth evaluating.

Thank you Dian'swords4u, they say patience is a virtue. It's hard to have at times and one can grow weary and frustrated in the midst of it, but through faith, hope and prayer we are able. Thanks for the vote up!

TimeHealsAll: Voted up and awesome! Almighty God has pre-destined every step along every path one is to take in life, including the people and the circumstances. It is up to us as to whether or not we remain on that roadway chosen of God, or veer off trying to find a shortcut, but eventually we end up back on the set path and road chosen for us.

You are so right on Dave! We can take comfort once we know the truth. We no longer need to question once we gain the wisdom to understand it. God will direct our path. Amen brother!

I thank you for the praise, but truly the praise belongs to Holy Spirit. I simply reply as He instructs. You read His words not mine, for I am but God's willing servant.

This post is loaded with nuggets, like "peace will not come to us, we must come to peace." Mercy, Sis, you just lay it on! Keep writing. This is wonderful! Up and useful.

Thank you JeanieR, peace will not come to those who ignore the truth. There will be a constant stir/war in our spirit until the truth be known/comes to light. Once we see the truth and except that truth and put it into motion, peace will come upon us/within us (because we are now at peace with it) and that peace (be it truth) will set us free. Blessing to you sis and thank you for the thumbs up!!!

Forgiveness is hard because we have an enemy that whispers in our ear to remind us of the hurts and trials of the past. We, in our flesh, listen all too often. We say, "that's right, he had no call to do that thing" and take back the hurt that God had filed under 'lessons learned" and "hurts endured." Forgiveness needs to be left where God helped us put it. If we don't put it there or take it back it will turn to bitterness and resentment. Luvya sister.

Hi nobody, you made some very good points. Evil will continue to bend our ear and tempt us into backsliding, and if we don't pray or dive into God's word at that moment we will fall prey to it. I believe it is how we choose to deal with it. If we give Satan an inch, he will take a mile. Evil can be conquered through the power of Jesus Christ. Amen brother!

There is a greater purpose! Boy, if we could see the full picture, of what God had planned for our lives, if we had only chose His ways? Always? Thankfully, He still loves us, in spite of ourselves. He can turn our wrong turns into right turns! Beautiful hub, thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Very nicely put. And to sum it all up...He does all that because He loves us so much and is attempting to conform us into His image. Our part is to sumbit and obey.
