Country Strong Great Advice
So I'm sitting here watching this old movie and there was so much that I gathered from this movie that I wanted to share some of the advice and moments that touched me the most.
"Love and pain can't live in the same place."
Simple but true. In order to heal and get over horrible relationships/bad things you have to resolve those past situations within yourself in order to open yourself up to be able to truly love again and overcome hurt.
Great scene in the movie: Kelly talks to the new up and coming star and gives her advice from the heart. One of the most powerful things she told her: "Don't be afraid to love. Do you hear what I'm saying? It's the only thing that matters in life. Fall in love with as many things as you can."
I think that's a wonderful way to live your life. Love in any form helps you to experience the joys of life. Things don't make you happy but experiences with people add joy to your life which can never be measured.
*Remember in life we can choose to address what has happened to us or we can bury ourselves in denial, drugs, alcohol, sex, or work in order to avoid our issues. How we deal with hurt is truly our choice.
