Gay discrimination

Gay discrimination

I’m straight, yet feel gays are as normal as I am. Do meet a lot of gays in the arts and entertainment business. It’s hard to survive as an artist, but nothing compared to gay discrimination they face within their community. I believe in accepting diversity of all kinds into our lives. It's easy to be homophobic but, very few are openly gay. That's changing with more and more gay people and the view of the world.

Think of it as one way to reduce over population. Where did adults loose their imagination of being in shoes of other person.? Discriminating against gays is the same level of discriminating against any minority or race. USA has evolved over time and varies between regions. Same sex marriage in now in 5 states in United States and in 10 other countries.

About 10% of the World is gay, its shown that homosexual behavior has been in close to 1500 species ranging from primates to gut worms and is well documented for 500 of them. If all gays moved into one country, they would be the third largest country by population in the world.(ILGA) said in a May 2010 report that 76 nation criminalize “consensual sexual acts between persons of the same sex in private over the age of consent.

You rarely hear about death penalty or beating of atheist much anymore, yet you do with gays. A total of 7 deeply religious countries who do serve up the death penalty to gays. Just like religious war with atheist or other religions, if you discriminates people to the point of making other believe these people are demonic, then seems it much easier to kill them as sub human.

I do feel odd specking out for gays, but the game of hide and seek is hell. No pun intended for religious groups. I once visited a gay parade in Toronto, in which was larger than the Christmas parade. I don’t think I would go to an atheist’s parade unless they towed along a petting zoo. Anyways, at this parade a young gay man came up to me and said, Oh your fairy Hot!!! I ask, was it the way I was standing or was it the way I walked that attracted you?

At my age I will take any attention.

I have often wondered what a persons sexual preference has to do with anything? I am not gay either and have lots of really loving gay people for friends. For me being with loving people is what matters the most.

Excellent hub that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks!

A change of teams is a big change, yet, it's more important, to say to yourself. I am what I am.

Happy for you

Interesting hub, thank you. discrimination is a waste of time, dealing in hate is just as bad as dealing in drugs.

Some of my dearest and closest friends are openly gay. I let them know it takes courage and valor to stand so boldly in our world and teach the lessons of unconditional love and acceptance. They are beautifully advanced souls. I love and appreciate them.

Agreed. I have people in my family who are fundamental Christians. You should hear the hateful things they say about gay people. In the name of Jesus of course.

I will never understand that. I have gay friends that are far better than some of the so called Christians. Wish we could all just live and let live. The world would be a better place.
