How To Keep Memories Of Your Romance

As you and your partner experience enjoyable times together, you may be looking for new and creative ways to deepen your relationship and to hold on to the fun times that the two of you have. Fortunately, there are many ways to preserve these.

One way you can do this is with a “memory chest,” a sort of box in which you place the mementos of the romantic and touching experiences you have with each other.

One type of memento you can save are of your nights out on the town together. These can include theater ticket stubs, programs and playbills, movie ticket stubs, concert programs and even the take-home menus of your favorite restaurants with the items you had circled.

Some restaurants offer matchbooks, placemats and other souvenirs that you can bring home. These can all go into your momento chest when you get home.

If you love scrapbooking, it can be a great idea to start a special scrapbook of the special times you and your significant other have had together. This will help you to relive the special moments you experience.

You will especially want to save the mementos for the extra-special times the two of you share, such as when you go on vacation together. Tropical destinations are very popular and can provide any number of romantic souvenirs that you can bring home at little cost.

Seashell collecting is very popular. You can fill a bottle with sand and small seashells from your favorite beach to keep in your memory chest. Some of the larger shells can be used for craft projects and other activities.

If you take a vacation up North, not to worry, as the colder climates can also provide trinkets and mementos, such as pine cones or even a bottle of melted snow from your favorite camp, lodge or ski resort.

If you and your partner enjoy wine or champagne, You can save the corks and labels from the bottles, sealed in plastic bags and marked with the occasion in which the beverage was used.

For those who enjoy road trips, you can save maps from the various journeys that you have been on together or the brochures of hotels at which you stayed. You can even place a large map on the wall, marked with push pins of the places you've been together.

You can also create your own special memories at home. Challenge each other to think of the most romantic kiss you've ever seen in a movie. Purchase that movie and then see if you can then recreate that special kiss! Add the movie to your memory chest so that you can revisit it frequently! If you can't agree on that one favorite kiss, try to come up with the top-five!

You can repeat the process with the most romantic song you've ever heard. Buy the CD or download the single and dance with your partner to that song. That, too, can go into your memory chest.

As you can see, there are many ways to keep the romance alive and share and relive those special moments with one another. All it takes is a little imagination and a lot of romance!
