How to Plan a Bachelor Party

The time has finally come and one of your best friends are getting married. It is typically the responsibility of the best man to organize an amazing bachelor party for the groom. Planning a bachelor party is essential to its success. I have outlined the most important steps to having the best bachelor party in the history of the world!

Step 1: Plan the party. Planning a bachelor party can be a frustrating experience. The first thing you need to do is decide where you are going to have it. Some great ideas include: Las Vegas, Casinos, Resorts, Cabins, and Camping Trips.

Step 2: Calculate the cost of the party. No matter what your destination, do not expect the groom to have to pay for anything. This is his day. Calculate the cost of the room, gas, any excursions you take, alcohol, etc. Let's say the cost of the entire trip comes to $800. Decide how much you want to pay and request that all of the guests pitch in a set amount. For example, if you invite 20 people have them all chip in $40 and the whole trip will be paid for. If the guests are friends of the groom they shouldn't have a problem helping out with the party!

Step 3: Invite guests. Remember, the bachelor party is for the groom. It is his last major party before he steps into marriage. Keep in mind it is for him and not just an excuse to throw a party. Ask the groom for a list of however many people you want to invite. Make sure you don't leave anyone out. It is standard to invite all of the groomsmen and close friends of the groom.

Step 4: Keep the party a secret. Do not let the groom know where you are taking him. This is your last chance as a best friend to give him a good time. It's nobody's business what happens at the bachelor party other than the people attending. With this being said, make sure you don't have anything at the bachelor party that would upset the groom. If he specifically says he does not want strippers, do not hire them. You'll save yourself some grief and money.

Step 5: Have a great time. As long as you've followed these steps, you are on your way to an amazing bachelor party.

1. Give the groom a list of the people you are planning to invite. Tell him to scratch off any of the names he does not approve of. One person can ruin the entire party for the groom.

2. Keep the groom safe. Many times bachelor parties can get out of hand and people end up getting hurt. It's your responsibility to bring the groom home to his soon to be wife!
