Jewels in your Wedding Bouquet

For several years bride’s have been asking for “bling” in their wedding flowers.

There is a large selection of these jewels available in varying qualities and designs. Little garden critters seem to be popular and of course Swarovski crystals which come in a range of colors and are added to the bouquets, usually in the center of the flowers.

Pearls are often used to dot the centers of stephanotis and stem wraps are decorated with rhinestone buckles. In our shop we've draped strings of pearls from bouquets, added jeweled bees and butterflies and added big luminous pearls to our bouquets.

Also available are sheets of colored rhinestones with sticky backs. You can peel these off and scatter them over a ribbon, dot them on flowers, your hair and wedding favors.

Tiny inexpensive butterflies and other critters on fine wire can be inserted into corsages as well as sprays of seed pearls and crystal beads.

There are several on line suppliers where you can buy these jewels. Save on Crafts dot com, or Bouquet Jewels dot com, or discuss it with your florist. She will want to know about your gown and jewelry in order to choose the most appropriate jeweled accents. In orther words if your gown is dotted with seed pearls then maybe she will suggest that you use pearls in your bouquet also.

To fasten stem wraps you don't need to be restricted to pearls. There are crystals in all colors, rhinestones in addition to the rhinestone buckles and colored pins to match the ribbon. Ropes of rhinestones can be wrapped around the flower stems as well as tiny strings of pearls. A simpler treatment is a pretty satin ribbon fastened with a keepsake pin. All are fun and festive and help to make the day special.
