Love and lyrics of the heart
Love is a subject which is written about a lot. Heartbreak and being in love give some of the best song lyrics for a musician, give the best words to put on paper for a poet.
Yes, there is a lot to be said about love and a lot to be asked. That’s why there are so many songs about love I guess. What do you feel when you love someone, how do you act. I don’t mean when you are in love, but past the stage of being in love, just when you really love someone.
Won’t you still close your eyes and fall asleep, just so you won’t miss a thing? Do you still believe the love will get you through anything?
And that unconditional love what so many are talking about. What does it mean? Does it mean that you’ll do anything for them, or does it mean that if your love is in trouble or needs help, you’ll turn your back on them and let them figure out themselves, because you love the other?
Do you sail on together or are you drifting apart? Does it mean that you think about the other a lot and treasure every moment you’re together, or does it mean, that as soon that someone is out of sight, that you just forget about them and they just have to know they are loved and that’s it?
Does it mean you want to share feelings and thoughts, or does it mean that you shouldn’t talk about feelings at all, let alone talk about anything, just to avoid a conflict? Whenever you’re reached for will you do what you can? When you love someone, would you want to hold him or her wherever you are, or don’t you show it when you are around friends?
Is love just knowing what the other needs at times and giving it, or waiting until it is asked to give? Can you tell your love everything or do you have (dark) secrets? Do you run away from your love in times of trouble or are you going to do your best to make everything right, just because you love the other? Do you both laugh a little, cry a little, until the clouds roll by a little?
Is it staying strong with every word and every breath? If the sun refused to shine, would you still love the other? When you love someone, do you let the other one put in all the effort, or are you both giving it effort?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. —I Corinthians 13:4-8a
As beautiful love can be, as much trouble it can give, as much questions love can give. Is it true love? Is it conditional love? Is it unconditional? Does real or true love exist? Aren’t people saying the words “I love you “too easy?
So many questions, but sometimes it seems that there are so little answers. Maybe that’s why when we love, we fear and doubt, we laugh and cry, and we enjoy and hurt.
Do you have a song that gives you the answer or a poem that tells it all? And do you life, your love, by those words?
Oooh..Ooooh I tell you it will shake the earth beneath your feet The light that shines will redefine your old beliefs What you reap is what you sow and so it goes Where you plant your needs is where your garden grows Before you think about yourself Think of someone else, it will make you feel Each day ain't wine and roses I doubt it's meant to be Always a cross to bear salvation don't come free A heart that beats is a heart that bleeds And you know that's true So don't deny yourself of something good for you Before you do it for yourself, do it for someone else That makes it real
'Cause When You Love Someone It don't matter what you say When you love someone You will dance the night away When you love someone There ain't nothing you can't do Ain't that right Yeah I want to love someone tonight Will you believe in love or just sit around and judge? Can you forgive someone or will u hold a grudge? Cuz above selfishness there lies a bright blue sky And wealth and happiness can be a long and lonesome ride Yes it's hard to steer yourself Without that someone else to take the wheel Take the wheel
Do you believe in the art of growing old Do you believe that rock n roll can save your soul Do you believe in everything you do Cuz when you do that's when it all comes back to you Before you think about yourself Think of someone else Do it for yourself And do it for someone else When you love someone
Ask yourself if this love is real what do you think when you turn out the light Ask yourself just what you feel When he doesn’t lay beside you at night On the moments that you need your man Does he calm you and hold you tight When you’re afraid of scared somehow then does he stand by your side
Does he hold your hand no matter where you are Is he the one you truly need when you feel sad Does he always put his tongue in your mount or sometimes kiss you on the front of your head
Does he let you know, you’re the one he needs That you’re his best friend, his heart, his life does he ever talks about the coming days And that you’ll end up as his lovely wife
Or do you feel more sad then happy Does he things that make you feel down does he acts like he doesn’t know you, when there are more people around
Does he often say words that hurt you Now you tell me does he really care Cause if now you realize he doesn’t this ain’t your man, get out of there
