The Jealous Husband
You have to read this to the end.
My older man,
Your pain is much,
I feel your dark looks all the way from your far away island
Reaching my sunlit life
You are jealous of my beautiful, young, fit companions
The ones I laugh with
The ones that make me giggle like a school girl
Your jealousy is at times a low, poisonous mist
Lurking above a midnight pool that flashes sometimes emerald sometimes black
In other moments your passion is helplessly high, loud
Erupting your grudge
You don’t need to be
Resentful of our games,
They are not your rivals
They are not my lovers
This is a work of poetry and not a biographical piece of writing.
