Three Short Words

“Three short words” that mean so much,

take little time to say.

When first spoken the sincerity is at question,

carrying much weight, they lighten the load of both hearts. What if, when poured out intense at the time,

the question of sincerity increases?

Is it possible, for what you hope is real to grow,

while no time for nurturing exists?

Does the lack of togetherness increase the mental bonding,

making the hearts grow fonder?

“Three short words”, if spoken from an empty or blinded heart, can be misleading.

People will build a future on sand only to be eroded and washed away so quickly.

They never understood what happened.

Did they ever understand “three short words”?

Cupid uses arrows to portray a heart,

that is captive to another.

You feel that pierce down deep,

when someone makes it through.

Your heart is overwhelmed.

A blinded love brings pain,

should one person pull their arrow away,

leaving the hearts restless and void.

A peace with elation should be the response of a heart,

when the person you love is entrenched.

A calm reassurance, even when apart at the sound of a true loves voice,

is enough to keep ones heart warm and content for the duration…

“I love you”, three short words, that mean so much!

Thanks, I guess it is like a two edged sword when people can relate. Just the same, nice to know hearts can always be mended.
